Will There Be A Scar Where The Incision Is Made?

Yes, there will always be a scar where the incision is made. There is no way to cut the skin without leaving a scar.

For example: One of my patients, who just happened to be a surgeon as well, came in to see me because he wanted a mole above his left eye to be removed. He then proceeded to mention he wanted it removed without leaving a scar.

This was not possible, surgery always leaves a scar.

Priority is always given to giving the patient the best aesthetic scar possible, which may include other forms of scar therapy as needed.
